Michael Carten, LLB
Michael Carten has more than 25 years national and international experience in the energy industry most recently as Senior Vice President Corporate and Government Finance for Nesbitt Burns. Prior to that he was a senior partner with Bennett Jones one of Canada's leading energy law firms. He has represented some of Canada's largest energy companies has been an advisor to both federal and provincial governments
Mr. Carten is the largest shareholder in the company. He has shepherded the Company from the first conceptual stages through technology and product development and the commercialization process as well as arranging financing and developing key strategic alliances.
Mr. Carten is a graduate of Loyola College in Montreal and Dalhousie Law School in Halifax.
Gregory H. Nelson
Based out of Arizona, USA, Gregory Nelson is the latest addition to the Board of Directors and Senior Management team as an Executive Vice President. Greg Nelson was formerly Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of First Solar, the world’s largest manufacturer of thin film solar PV modules and was Chief Operating Officer of ZBB Energy Corporation a manufacturer of advanced battery technologies. Mr. Nelson has more than 20 years of experience in high volume manufacturing and in managing the transition of technology companies from product development to production and commercial success.
Justin Holland
Justin Holland is a Senior Operations Executive with expertise in multi-site operations, supply chain Integration, P&L management and general operations. Mr. Holland brings demonstrated excellence in strategic planning, class A manufacturing, business integration best practices, activity based cost modeling and performance management. He has worked in the High Tech/Electronics, Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage and Custom Manufacturing industries with such firms as Christie Digital, Pepsi Canada, General Mills and Torpharm(Apotex).
Brent Harris, P.Eng.
Brent Harris, a co-founder has been a key contributor to the development of the Company's technology and products since inception. Brent is an inventor of the Company's key patents and has led the commercialization of the Company's technology. Mr. Harris is responsible for directing product development, maintaining and expanding the Company's intellectual property, and helping the Company's customers and partners with the integration of its products into their applications. Mr. Harris graduated from Queens University in Ontario in Electrical Engineering.
Roger Fredette
Roger Fredette is responsible for financial reporting, internal controls, accounting and compliance requirements. He brings 20 years experience in financial management and accounting expertise. A strategic planner, Mr. Fredette has successfully orchestrated the purchase and financing of two corporations. He has been the financial controller of both private and public corporations with annual sales in excess of 40 million dollars.
Mr. Fredette's financial background includes experience in the banking, manufacturing, retail and distribution and high technology sectors. Mr. Fredette is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business Administration at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is also nearing completion of the academic requirements for the Canadian Institute for Chartered Accountants.
